Fog & Morup is one of Denmark's leading lighting manufacturers, founded in 1904. The company enjoyed its golden age in the 1960s and 1970s, receiving international acclaim for its innovative, sophisticated and modern design lighting fixtures. The central figure in this success was Jo Hammerborg**, who served as the company's chief designer from 1957.
Hammerbo, a former silversmith and a keen designer, created many masterpieces that combined geometric and functional beauty with sophisticated materials (especially aluminum, copper, and brass). His representative works include "Nova," "Saturn," "President," "Studio," and "Orient," which are still highly valued in the vintage market today.
